“Play is the child’s symbolic language of

self-expression and can reveal what the

child has experienced, reactions to what

was experienced, feelings about what was experienced, what the child wishes, wants or needs, and the child’s perception of self.”
                                       Garry L. Landreth

My credential indicates that I have completed a Masters degree in Social Work, and that I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW. My undergraduate degree is in child development with a minor in family relations. I am currently enrolled in University of California, San Diego’s Play Therapy Certificate Program to become a Registered Play Therapist, RPT,  and being supervised in my play therapy hours by Raphaella Croccia LMFT, RPT-S S52223.

I am passionate about children and families in all stages, holding space for them to feel fully accepted and loved. I believe that my role as a therapist is to support the family as a whole and including parents is a vital piece of the therapeutic process.

My therapeutic approach utilizes trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, play, and attachment theories. I believe that every child and family is unique and that as a therapist my role is to meet your child and family where you are and mold my therapy practice to fit your needs.

I have been working with children professionally for fifteen years in many different capacities. From schools to group homes, even in-home family counseling, I have spent much time working to support youth where they are at in their lives. For the last three years I have worked in hospitals in San Diego helping families navigate hard and traumatic experiences. During these years I have developed a passion for helping children and families work through grief and changes.

In my free time I like to hike, drink coffee and spend time with my family.
