“Play is the child’s symbolic language of

self-expression and can reveal what the

child has experienced, reactions to what

was experienced, feelings about what was experienced, what the child wishes, wants or needs, and the child’s perception of self.”

My credentials indicate that I have completed two Master's Degrees programs, in Counseling Psychology and in Peace and Justice Studies, and that I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Raphaella Croccia, LMFT, license 52988.

I am passionate about providing children and teens with the experience of feeling seen and heard. I am approachable and supportive and create a safe space for the client to explore their challenges and strengths, learn and practice coping and emotional regulation skills, build resilience, and grow in their self-understanding and self-esteem.

I believe that the collaborative process between therapist and parents is an essential requirement for a successful treatmnet of the child. I work closely with the parents as to offer them support and parenting strategies.

My therapeutic approach is informed by psychodynamics, attachment theory, play therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices. Together we will come up with a therapy plan personalized for your child and family’s needs. I provide individual, sibling, and family therapy.

I have worked with children and their families for the last 13 years as a therapist at a trauma informed school, a residential counselor in an orphanage in Thailand and a group home in San Diego, and as a parent educator with CWS-involved families.

It is an honor to come alongside my clients, and I look forward to getting to know you.
