Toddler Therapy: Strengthening Connection from the Start
In our practice, toddler therapy is a collaborative process that invites parents to actively participate in their child’s emotional growth. While some sessions may involve just the toddler and therapist, most sessions include the parent, creating space to strengthen the parent-child relationship in real time.

We use an attachment-based approach, which centers on nurturing the connection between caregiver and child. Through this work, we help toddlers develop healthy relational skills and support parents in the process of co-regulation—the gentle art of helping young children manage big feelings by staying connected and emotionally attuned.

By fostering this connection, the therapy supports the development of healthy relational capacities and promotes co-regulation—the process by which parents help their child regulate emotions and calm their nervous system.

Why Early Intervention Matters
The early years of life are a powerful window for heath emotional and neurological development.

Early mental health intervention and prevention can play a critical role in a child’s development. Addressing behavioral and emotional needs during the toddler years helps prevent or reduce developmental delays and can stop emerging symptoms from escalating into more serious social, emotional, or academic challenges later on.
